‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: New promo gives you first (tiny) tease of Zoom
In just one week’s time, the waiting will be over for all of those who love “The Flash,” and you are finally going to get a chance to see just how Barry Allen and the team from STAR Labs starts to recover after the brutal singularity in the season 1 finale. Eddie Thawne is dead, and life has to find a way to move forward.
Maybe for a few minutes we’ll get to see characters start to catch their breath, but it won’t last much longer than that. You’ve got villains such as Atom-Smasher coming right away, and then before long you will start to see the most notorious villain of all: Zoom, a character from Earth-2 who for now seems like the Reverse-Flash on steroids.
Much like with the Reverse-Flash in season 1, one of the primary mysteries we are going to have in the early going this season is trying to figure out who this villain truly is, and if it is someone we already know. Jay Garrick warns Barry that Zoom has been quite the destroyer of worlds (and lives) back on Earth-2, and he is certainly more than capable of doing the same here.
While this is not in the promo, we do want to give you at least one other thing to ponder for a minute or two here: What is Harrison Wells going to be up to in season 2? The show obviously made a great move in terms of the quality of its acting by ensuring that they secured Tom Cavanagh as a series regular for multiple years, but at the same time, we don’t know what you really do with him now that the saga of the Reverse-Flash is over for now. Do you just stick him in prison all season?
