‘Dancing with the Stars 21’: Kim Zolciak reportedly not attending, status unclear

It looks like there may not be much in the way of an appearance from Kim Zolciak on “Dancing with the Stars” tonight, after all.

According to a new report from TMZ, the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is not going to be in attendance on the show Monday night, but she will appear via FaceTime from Atlanta. Following her hospitalization this past week, her doctors have apparently ordered her to not travel.

What does this mean when it comes to her time on the show? At the moment, we imagine that it is probably not good. When you consider the precedence of other past cast members on the show who have an illness or injury, they typically do not advance further to the next round unless there is rehearsal footage that can be scored as their routine. Since there is probably not something like this available for Kim and her partner Tony Dovolani, we have a hard time imagining that she will move forward.

We figure that this will be addressed a little bit further over the course of the show Monday night, and we’ll have some more news then. Of course, we’re very sad for Kim if this turns out to be the end of her time on the show, if for no other reason than that she was starting to get better. The upside is that we could see her later this season or in the finale if she is able to recover in time.
