‘Outlander’ video: While waiting for season 2, check out new deleted scene focusing on Jamie, Claire

Outlander -Even though the vast majority of “Outlander” episodes do for the most part run close to running a full hour, there are still a variety of different scenes that are left on the cutting-room floor. This is where we are with the latest video below (via Entertainment Weekly), which is a deleted scene from the show’s first season in preparation from the upcoming DVD / Blu-Ray release of the second half of season 1.

This scene focuses for the most part on two familiar faces in Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe), as the two start to figure out more of what has specifically transpired with the Duke of Sandringham. Claire questions why the Duke is getting involved someone of “stable boy” status such as Jamie; while he rebukes her by reminding her that he is a Laird, it is still a fair question and one that does for a certain extent bear fruit.

We can figure out why this scene was ultimately cut from the show with very little effort. Specifically, it comes down to the fact that it was not really needed to further along the story. Certain things can always either be explained in a different way or inferred, and this is certainly the sort of situation that we have with this particular preview.

We are going to have for you even more news when it comes to “Outlander” in the near future, so for the time being our simple advice is just to stay tuned. The show has been fairly liberal with how much information that they choose to release, and we do not see that changing at any point in the near future … at least hopefully.

We will, as advertised, continue to bring you further updates on “Outlander” throughout the weeks and months ahead. You can check out some of the latest over at the link here, or sign up here in the event you want some other TV news sent right to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Starz.)
