‘Big Brother 17’ finale: Da’Vonne Rogers on Steve’s win, rooting for Vanessa (CBS backyard interview)

Big Brother -We feel like the “Big Brother” world would have been such a better place in Da’Vonne Rogers was a part of it for longer. She was great television for her first two weeks this season, and she would have continued to bring the greatness had she lasted a while longer.

Unfortunately, it was not meant to be, but we did at least still get a chance to hear from her tonight courtesy of her CBS live feed backyard interview with Jeff Schroeder. Just as we’re doing all night, we’ve got some highlights below.

On the final two – “I’m crushed. I wanted Vanessa to be in the final two! Of the two, I’m glad Steve won.”

On what she’s been into – “I’ve been back into my acting, back into my modeling … Just be on the lookout.”

On reuniting with the cast – “It’s weird. It’s awkward because I haven’t seen these people in a long time. It’s like a family feel.”

On what’s happening next – “We’ll all keep in contact. There’s a lot of people who we won’t be having drinks with … but we’ll be cordial. But my home team? Definitely Jason and Meg.”

We’re a little bummed about the length of this interview. For whatever reason it was really short, and most of it was spent mostly with Jeff / Da’Vonne in-jokes from previous conversations. With that in mind, we’ll just end this by saying that we hope to see her come back in another season at some point down the road. She had some of the tools to do well, but just put too much of a target on herself.
