‘Big Brother 17’ finale: Winner Steve Moses on big victory, Vanessa move, more in CBS backyard interview

steveFor a good part of “Big Brother” early on, we’re not sure that anyone saw Steve Moses as the sort of guy who could make it to the end of the game, let alone win when he actually got there. Yet, he made the moves he needed to make, surrounded himself with shields, and made the move when he needed to: Evicting Vanessa at the final three. He would’ve preferred to do it earlier, but he did it when he could.

Jeff Schroeder hosted the backyard interviews tonight on the live feeds, and we thought we’d bring you some of what Steve had to say about the game.

On his feelings – “Out of all the things that were possible outcomes of this, winning was not one of them … I didn’t have the social skills!”

On the final HoH – “I took lots of Pepto-Bismol before I went up there.”

On his relationship with his mom – “I had no idea she was such a big part of this season! Cool!”

On his feelings before winning the final HoH – “Relaxing, not stressing. Attempting to. It was a matter of answering the question … I knew that it was going to be the scales.”

On knowing not to take Vanessa – “She is Derrick. She is Dr. Will. She is that good. It’s so great to see a woman [like that] play so good … I watched her talk Liz into falling off the apple, she got Austin to go after me and Johnny Mac versus James and Meg. Vanessa is a brilliant, brilliant player.”

On the money – “Winning was not a possibility, so I have no idea! I have some college loans I’ll pay off. No big splurges or nothing planned.”
