‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’ episode 2 preview: Varner gets aggressive; Abi-Maria gets angry

Varner -Tonight’s “Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance” premiere could have very well have been two hours, and we wouldn’t have minded. There was so much interesting stuff going on, and it was compelling to watch how these people all came together as returning players and tried to get another shot at improving their lot in life.

One of these people who is clearly out for redemption is Jeff Varner, who is showing right now that he is playing this game and HARD. His new objective? Finding a way to take out threats, which apparently includes working with Terry in order to do so. These two would make a fun alliance, but our concern with Varner here is mostly that he’ll play too hard, expose himself for doing so, and go home. We really don’t hope that this happens.

Elsewhere, we’re starting to wonder already whether or not Ta Keo made a mistake in keeping Abi-Maria in the game over Vytas. She is already starting to get into arguments, which just suggests to us that sometimes, people are who they are out there. Then again, it is great television, and we’re thrilled to have her still in the game thanks to that.

There really wasn’t any footage at all of Bayon in the preview for the next episode, which means to us one of two things: Either that this tribe is just fairly uneventful at the moment, or the show is hiding something awesome to show us later. Right now, we’re focusing more on the latter than the former.
