‘Big Brother 17’ finale: Austin Matelson on Liz relationship, Vanessa, more in backyard chat
Throughout the “Big Brother” finale, one of the big questions was what Austin Matelson (and/or Judas) was going to do when it comes to Vanessa, provided that she made it to the final two. For a longtime fan of the show, he was certainly putting on the bitter-juror persona in a big way.
If you’re already dying to know what his backyard interview with Jeff Schroeder was like on the live feeds, we’ve got some notable moments for you below.
On Steve – “The boy became a man … There was no Judas magic that I could have done. Steve deserved it.”
On his reaction to Vanessa’s eviction – “It was excellent to see that. She did all of that for nothing! All you had to do was hold on to your day two alliance.”
On if he would have gone to the final two with her – “…I was probably going to pull out a Boogie in season 7 and drop out, and let the two of them decide if they wanted to take me.”
On Vanessa’s game – “I think she’s a little overrated and here’s why. Her paranoia ran her game.”
On Liz and Austin – “Hopefully, very lovely things. Things happen. You’re holding out for security anywhere you can find it.”
On what he is looking forward to most – “Doing backflips with my coaches! I gotta get back into gymnastics. I need to spend a lot of time with Liz alone.”
On future endeavors – “I would love to get back into wrestling, I would love to do something with my fitness [career] … I’d like to go out in the woods to see what happens for a while.”
