‘Big Brother 17’ finale: Johnny Mac (a.k.a. John McGuire) talks his game in backyard chat

JohnThroughout the “Big Brother” season, John “Johnny Mac” McGuire was a fan favorite. He was the rockstar dentist, a constant diary-room shouter, and a fantastic personality to watch. He also found hard, returned to the game, and was just one competition win away from making it to the final three.

So what did John have to say about his time in the house during his backyard interview with Jeff Schroeder? We’ve got a few assorted comments for you to enjoy below!

On being in the top three – “It’s pretty good! It feels weird, because in my real life, everybody says that they hate me, constantly.”

On what he thought of finale – “Perfect. Steve needed what he needed to do. Vanessa … she was like the tiger pelt [on the wall]. She’s the trophy … [Getting her out] was the game.”

On Vanessa getting the votes – “If Vanessa was in the final two, she was going to win … Steve felt emotionally bad about her moves, but Vanessa just did it.”

On his own regrets – “I felt like I had to win out all of the competitions at the end, but I could have gotten rid of Steve. That would have put the target on Austin and Liz more than me … There was a lot of dumb moves, and that’s why I lost.”

On going back – “I might! I might think about it. It’s a grind, man. Maybe. There’s a chance. I don’t know how I feel about that right now. There’s a lot of feels going on right now.”

On what’s next – “I’m going to go back to Scranton and get to working on some teeth. I didn’t win the money.”
