ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 1 video: Sally Langston’s back with a vengeance

Where would “Scandal” be without Sally Langston? While we know that the show has done several arcs without her, we do find it continually entertaining that the show finds unique ways to implement her and some of her vitriol.

Is there no better position for her than as a political pundit? We have a hard time imagining it, since she is so good at speaking her mind, why not go ahead and have her do it in a public forum? In the preview below for Thursday’s premiere episode, her primary purpose seems to be firing off at President Grant for throwing a lavish party, right of course in the middle of when he should be doing other things (at least in her mind).

Just in case you don’t care to watch Sally spout off, there is also a love scene for Olivia and Fitz. Therefore, ‘shippers can spend a moment or two celebrating that. We at least know that when the season starts, these two are going to be in a great place with each other. As for whether or not they are remaining there in the time that follows, that is something we are going to have to wait to figure out.

Do we think that Olivia and Fitz will remain this happy all season long? It’s doubtful. This is “Scandal” that we’re talking about here! This is not a show that likes to prioritize happy endings for any of its characters in the slightest, so it seems foolish to say that we expect something of that variety to happen here.
