Is ‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3, episode 1 new tonight on ABC?

Agents of SHIELD -For all of those who want to see Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” on the air, let’s just say that we understand. After all, it has been a long wait since the second season wrapped up its run of new episodes, and there were so many different cliffhangers from the rise of Ward to the status of Simmons.

Unfortunately, you are going to have to wait for one more week after this one. While we are getting a chance to see tonight a two-hour edition of “Dancing with the Stars,” this is going to be coming at the expense of getting a chance to see a new episode of the Clark Gregg series for at least one more week. The season is instead going to premiere on September 29 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.

What we will say ultimately here is that expectations are definitely high for what the show does bring to the table this time, and for good reason the more that you think about it. Just remember for a minute everything that is going on at the moment (it’s a lot): You’ve got the mission to rescue Simmons, the transition of Skye into Daisy Johnson once and for all, and then arrival of a formidable new opponent in Lash who may or may not be around a lengthy period of time.

The structure for airing most of these episodes is also going to be for the most part fairly simple: Installments will come on in a huge chunk this fall, and then take a break over the spring. It’s virtually the same thing that we had last time.
