‘South Park’ season 19 premiere to take on Tom Brady, Caitlyn Jenner, and more

Wednesday night marks the season 19 premiere of “South Park,” and given just how long the show has been off of the air, it feels pretty assume to assume that they have had more than enough time to come up with a flurry of things to skewer in pop culture.

What have they decided on? Think along the lines of Caitlyn Jenner and deflategate for an episode entitled “Stunning and Brave.” The video below focuses mostly on the Tom Brady side of things, as Cartman proclaims that he is going to be just like the New England Patriots star and try to get his suspension reduced. The synopsis released by Comedy Central also teases some of what the overall story will be:

“There is a new principal at the helm of South Park Elementary. He forces the boys to confront the damage they’ve done through their history of racism and unconscious bias. It is the most stunning and brave South Park ever.”

Is this going to be offensive to some? Probably, mostly because this is “South Park” that we’re talking about and the show has crossed just about every line known to mankind. While particular episode is one that could have been on TV months ago, it’ll be interesting to see just how timely some of the references are. This is a show that has a reputation for having the shortest production cycle of all time, where episodes sometimes are pieced together in a matter of days based on recent headlines.
