‘Fear the Walking Dead’ episode 4 preview: Is Nick (and everyone, for that matter) in danger?
At the end of Sunday night’s new episode of “Fear the Walking Dead,” we saw a change in the manner in which Los Angeles was being contained … a pretty significant one. The army arrived, and this was a way to seemingly contain people in the midst of a massive apocalypse. It’s the closest thing that we have seen so far to mass governmental control in this world, and it will be somewhat interesting to get some further perspective from these people on what is going on around them.
However, the one thing that you can probably count on is that this probably will not work out being something that keeps everyone safe. In this world, we rarely do see anything that actually does fit that bill. Who knows what is motivating some of these people in uniform? Can they really be trusted? Based on the preview that we saw after tonight’s episode, there will be reasons for some to try to act on their own.
Specifically, we saw a glimpse of Madison trying to take charge, which really should not surprise anyone. She is someone who has shown these sort of skills already in the apocalypse, which is why Travis’ ex in part wanted her to be the one to kill her if it ever comes to it.
Also, we saw specifically it appearing as though Nick was in serious danger, and it is easy to imagine him being one of the most likely victims to all of this given where he entered the series as an addict. Still, we’d be massively depressed to lose him just a few episodes in, given that he was the focal point for the opening minutes of the series. Our first glimpse at this world was through his eyes.
