‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Steve gets his mission

There have been some questions and/or mysteries when it comes to “Big Brother” over the past few hours, in particular when it comes to Johnny Mac and what he is really going to do. Well, we are happy now to say that we have some further clarification.

This afternoon, Steve and John had a pretty fascinating conversation, one where John made it pretty clear what his conversations have been like with Vanessa as of late. He tells him that he has told Vanessa that he is willing to vote him out of the game, and he needs to find a way to get Vanessa to tell him that he should be kept. If that happens, then it means that he has managed to earn the vote of Vanessa, as well.

One of the reasons for this strategy is to try to create at least some sort of impression that John and Steve are not that close, which could give her more of an incentive to separate at this point Austin and Liz. There are many reasons to take out Austin at this given moment. He has friends on the jury for one in James, Meg, and Julia, and if he gets to the end of the game with anyone other than Liz, he’s got a great shot at those three votes. He will only need two more to win!

John made it clear that some of his work also included offering to throw the Veto to Austin and Liz in exchange for their votes to stay. He’s done a really amazing job at laying out the groundwork, but ultimately, the ball is now in Steve’s court to present a real case that there is no incentive to keeping someone like Austin around. This will be the fun of the next few days.
