‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: The roles of Robin Hood, Zelena, and more

“Once Upon a Time” season 5 is a show that focuses on a wide array of different characters, and sometimes, they don’t always get the same amount of attention in carious reports. Understandably, Emma as the Dark Swan is going to be the most-discussed topic of conversation for the premiere airing in two weeks, and almost everything else is having to fight for a little attention.

With that in mind, we don’t feel like either Robin Hood or Zelena have received many headlines as of late, even though the two characters really are going to be an enormous part of the story moving forward thanks mostly to where they are in relation to Regina. Robin is of course in love with Lana Parrilla’s character, even though they’ve had many hardships … including Zelena pretending to be Marian for a while, and even became pregnant with his child.

While executive producer Edward Kitsis did not have too much in the way of information on Robin to share in a recent interview with TVLine, he did confirm that he and Regina will still be going strong come premiere time. As for Zelena, let’s just say that her real danger is going to lie underneath the surface:

“Robin is really just picking up from last year; he is with Regina, we know Zelena is carrying his baby, and Zelena is the ‘wild card,’ so to speak. She’s like the Hannibal Lecter. We can never really trust her and we never really quite know what her motives are, but we absolutely know we should be frightened of her. In the premiere, people will see why.”
