‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 16 preview: All about ‘Girl Meets Cory and Topanga’

On Friday night, the Disney Channel is airing a special episode of “Girl Meets World” that is about identity, and acceptance, and learning more about how no one is defined by a diagnosis or any single attribute. It’s going to be a powerful episode that will also at the same time bring you a little bit of the show’s trademark humor still.

So what about the episode airing next week? What we’ll tell you right now is that it is entitled “Girl Meets Cory and Topanga,” and with a name like that, we wonder if this episode will be even more old-school than most and give you more reminders of the good ol’ days of “Boy Meets World.” The synopsis below does not really offer you any clues, but it does at least give you a sense that this will be yet another episode where Riley Matthews questions just what her impact is on others:

“When Riley comes to the realization that her parents, Cory and Topanga, are making a positive impact in the world, she questions the impact she’s making to the world.”

Ultimately, we do think that Riley may be a little too hard on herself at the moment for a variety of different reasons. After all, she is still at an age where she is trying to find herself, who her friends are, and what she wants to do with the rest of her life. There will be plenty of time for her to make an impact on the world; right now, her focus just needs to be on putting herself in a position where this can be possible.
