‘Poldark’ season 2: Another new shot of Aidan Turner, Eleanor Tomlinson!

While you are going to have a near-impossible task getting some actual spoilers from the cast and crew from “Poldark” during their season 2 filming, we will give the show and production company Mammoth Screen some credit here for lifting the veil to a certain degree on what filming is like behind the scenes.

On Thursday, the company posted the new photo below of Aidan Turner (Ross) and Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza), which give you yet another reason to smile. For one, this is one of those TV couples who are incredibly easy to root for, and given what happened at the end of season 1 with their child, you can also make an easy argument that they desperately deserve some sort of a win.

If nothing else, we can tell you with at least a reasonable amount of confidence  that you will have plenty of chances to see the Ross / Demelza story expand and develop over season 2. For one, the two are already together, so the whole “getting to know you” and “getting together” process is already complete. Also, the second season has ten episodes as opposed to the first season’s eight. That’s a good two more hours, and we expect the show to make the most of them.

BBC viewers should expect to see more “Poldark” starting in the spring of next year. Meanwhile, it should premiere over on PBS in America (where it is starting to get more and more of a following) in the summer. We’ll have more soon!
