‘The Blacklist’ season 3 spoilers: How the tables turn for Liz, Tom Keen

There are a variety of fun things seemingly to look forward to on the third season of “The Blacklist,” and just one of them is going to be learning a thing or two more about what Tom Keen is going to be up to.

Based on the events of the finale and some of the news that you’ve already heard about Liz being on the run coming up, you likely knew that we were getting to a position where the tables were turned for the characters. What we’ve got for you below is ultimately further proof of jall of this, courtesy of what executive producer Jon Bokenkamp had to say to Entertainment Weekly:

“Tom has been cleared and Liz is now a fugitive on the run … They’re completely flipped in who they are and almost also in the way they approach the situation — she’s now feeling the desperation of being a criminal and trying to operate in the shadows, and he’s trying to come clean and trying to redeem himself in her eyes. Tom was sailing off to white sands and blue beaches and felt it was over. What he doesn’t know is she assassinated the Attorney General of the United States. When he catches wind of this, he’ll have something to say about it and will not want to sit back.”

Given everything that Liz and Tom have been through, we feel like one of the challenges for the show is always trying to come up with a way to include Tom while still having his appearance make sense. After all, the last thing that you want to do is just force him in. By having him seemingly seek some sort of redemption, part of the excitement around this story could be seeing just how badly he wants perception for him to change.
