Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ premiere date confirmed in new teaser
“Jessica Jones” is the second entry in Netflix’s series of Marvel shows, and we already know that there is some serious hype out there for it. You have Krysten Ritter playing the part of a former superhero turned private eye, who is working to solve a variety of different crimes in interesting marvelous ways. (Yep, we used “marvelous” on purpose.)
Today, Netflix did reveal that November 20 is the official premiere date for the show, and they did so in the form of the new teaser. This video is pretty awesome visually, but we have to say that it does not do a particularly great job of actually telling you what the story is about.
Here’s what you have to wonder right now: Does Netflix need to really hype up the story right now? We understand any frustration with potentially-confused viewers, but we feel like this is meant mostly for the fans, and a more traditional trailer will be coming in the near future.
Some of the cast for this series includes former “Doctor Who” star David Tennant, Carrie-Anne Moss of “The Matrix,” and Rachael Taylor (“Charlie’s Angels,” “Grey’s Anatomy”). You are also going to be getting a chance to see Mike Colter debut here as the Luke Cage character. (He is going to star in his own series, which will be coming up at some point in 2016.) Given that this is following up a show that is enormously successful in “Daredevil,” we know that expectations are going to be high.
