‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 spoilers: Is there anything left for Callie and Arizona?
When you look at many longtime loves on “Grey’s Anatomy,” it is easy to see that there are not many left. April and Jackson have been intertwined for some time, but at this point Callie and Arizona are the longest-tenured couple on the show. They’re not together now, but they do still have that will-they-or-won’t-they quality about them that makes them so appealing to many fans of the show. While they are apart, there is still hope that someday, they are going to find a way to work through their issues and get back together.
Just know this: It’s not going to be easy. If they do find a way back to each other, show creator Shonda Rhimes will make sure that it is fully earned. She does not throw people back in a relationship just because people want it to happen.
We cannot offer any real evidence of a re-joining in this article; however, we can at least give you a sign that even though they are not together, Sara Ramirez and Jessica Capshaw’s characters are still very much intertwined. For more on this, just check out what executive producer / star Debbie Allen said on the subject recently to TV Guide:
“When two people have had this kind of committed, tumultuous relationship – and it has been that – and then finally they go their separate ways, there’s still love there … Even though you’ve moved on, you’re always going to go, ‘Well, who is she with? And what is that?’ There’s going to be questions about that and feelings. Because when there’s love, there’s always feelings.”
Before these two even have a chance to make something work, be prepared for them to try other relationships … or at least date other people. Maybe going through this experience will allow them to miss more of what they had with each other.
