‘Switched at Birth’ season 4, episode 13 preview: ‘Between Hope and Fear’ and further drama
What is coming up next on “Switched at Birth“? There is a new episode entitled “Between Hope and Fear” that airs on ABC Family next week, and this is a story that will contain at least a few twists and turns. One of the fun things about the story is going to be Travis in Los Angeles, though we are also going to see Bay and Daphne start to clash a little bit more over what is going on with Toby and Lily.
In the event that you have not seen the synopsis for this episode just yet, take a look at it below:
“Daphne is thrilled when Eric asks Regina to move in with him, but Regina is troubled by how little she knows about the mother of Eric’s son, Will, and decides to go to Atlanta to find out more about the woman. John’s financial stresses come to a head when Toby approaches the family for support, prompting John to lash out at him. Bay is surprised to learn she and Daphne have opposing opinions about how to deal with the pregnancy.
“Meanwhile, Travis goes to Los Angeles to visit Emmett and is dismayed to find Emmett has gone ‘Hollywood.'”
Given that there is only so much time this summer, we hope that the story is going to progress quickly as we ultimately see how Emmett is reacting to his breakup with Bay, and whether or not he has a future being even friends with some of these characters.

I just want to see Emmett. That’s really all I have ever wanted to see on Switched at Birth.
I fell in love with Emmett’s character from the beginning and I was treated to 22 beautiful episodes outlining his character’s growth. Then, it was as if his character fell off the face of the earth for the last 63 additional episodes. WHERE IS EMMETT?
He is the best character on the series. The actor portraying him may-or-may-not be a favorite of the writers, but Sean Berdy does his job sublimely. Please, for the love of God, put him back into the center of the show and let us continue to see his chops.
I love how the writing of this series expands my universe. I have been patiently waiting for Emmett’s character to come back into the foreground of the show. It needs to happen now. It is past time and the tenor of the show is screaming for it.
So am I.
