‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: More on Halloween episode, Darren Criss, and Lily Rabe
“American Horror Story” has many plans for its upcoming “Hotel” season, but one of their biggest ones at the moment simply has to do with the annual Halloween Special. Every year the show really tries to go all-out to put on something special, and this time they are going to do so with a two-parter featuring familiar faces in the Ryan Murphy universe: Lily Rabe and “Glee” alum Darren Criss.
The first part of the episode is going to be focused in part on Rabe as Aileen Wurnos, the notorious killer who was a focus in part of the movie “Monster.” As Murphy tells Entertainment Weekly, much of her character’s story will involve her alongside Wes Bentley’s detective character of John Lowe:
“The biggest serial killers of all time all come to the hotel. Gacey. Aileen. John Lowe’s invited to a devil’s night dinner. He thinks someone is pulling a huge prank on him. It’s the biggest serial killers of all time in a room with him and he has to figure who is trying to make him lose his mind.”
As for Criss, Murphy reiterates some previous comments, saying that he along with his girlfriend are hipsters from Silver Lake who get annoyed about the lack of service at the hotel:
“They’re horrified they can’t get their artisanal cheese and they hate the sheets and they put Iris [Kathy Bates] through the wringer and she’s not happy.”
Sound fun? It does to us, but there are many stories that the show will be getting into before we get closer to the premiere on Wednesday, October 7. Be on the lookout for more of the latest news on the series right now over at the link here.
