‘Shameless’ season 6 spoilers: A quick tease from William H. Macy

The sixth season of “Shameless” is in production as we speak, and we continue to get more and more indications that this is going to be yet another shocking batch of episodes. We expect some funny moments (there better be, since it is categorized as a comedy), but also a lot of heavy drama and surprises to go along with it.

So why not get a tease from someone who knows all about the upcoming season better than anyone? Speaking to Deadline, star and Emmy nominee William H. Macy did a good job making it clear just where the show was in production, but also what the story is specifically focusing on moving forward:

“I’m back at Shameless on episode three. I’m about to have a scene with Emmy (Rossum). It’s an emotional year. It’s all about pregnancy, this first part of it. We’re dealing with abortion as only Shameless can deal with it. Frank’s position is typically unexpected and right out of left field and his logic is sort of bewildering.”

The new season is going to premiere early next year, and it will be a little bit of a different look for the show lineup wise. What we mean about this primarily is that “Shameless” is going to be paired now with a new drama in “Billions” rather than its familiar one-hour comedy block of “House of Lies” and “Episodes.”
