‘Masters of Sex’ season 3, episode 8 preview: How does Austin fit in?

Have you missed Austin on “Masters of Sex” as of late? Teddy Sears is back Sunday night for another part of his story arc this season, where he plays a very key part in the lives of Betty and Helen, doing everything that he can in order to ensure that the two of them are able to start a family.

Specifically, he is brought in alongside Helen to visit Dr. Masters, as Helen has encouraged him to get more and more into surrogacy practices. She of course has her own motivation for this, but there is no doubt from this vantage point that there are plenty of other people who will end up benefiting from this as well.

Unfortunately, this sneak peek does not offer up too much in the way of information as to whether or not this plan using Austin is going to work, but at least we’re happy to have both Sears and Sarah Silverman on the show again. With there being such massive time jumps here, it would have been easy for producers to introduce characters and then never give us any real taste of them again. We’re pretty happy that this is not going to be the case here.

Given that Sears is only credited for a few episodes, we are at least assuming one way or another that there is going to be some resolution in the near future.
