‘The Muppets’ feature more ‘Scandal’ season 5 stars in new promos

The publicity campaign for “The Muppets” on ABC just keeps coming, and we are pleased once again to say that this is just about every bit as fun as we would hope that it would be.

The two videos below feature some of our beloved characters alongside a pair of “Scandal” season 5 stars, which further goes to show that despite being on a pretty serious program, these are people who still do have a great sense of humor about themselves.

First, we turn to Joshua Malina, who stars alongside the most-popular Muppet of all in Kermit the Frog for a demonstration in one simple thing: That the two shocking bear quite a bit of physical similarity. Who knew that man and frog could look so alike with the right facial expression? In the end, pretty funny stuff.

From here, we transition over to Scott Foley for a particularly funny promo featuring our favorite Muppet in Gonzo, who makes it clear that he wants to start an online dating profile. The problem here? Well, let’s just say that he just wants to make a profile using all of Foley’s attributes rather than his own. Don’t you think that Scott would have something to say about all of this? Then you would be right.

In the end, hopefully we’ll get even more of these before the show premieres on ABC come September 22. For now, they are definitely funny and a great use of cross-promotion.
