‘The X Factor’ UK: Simon Cowell continues to hype new season before premiere
In just the matter of a day’s time, the season premiere of “The X Factor” is going to be upon us … and Simon Cowell already wants you to know that this is going to be a very good batch of episodes. There are new judges, new contestants, and even new hosts in Olly Murs and Caroline Flack. We have no idea how any of this will shake out on TV, but we do want it to be interesting.
For the record, at least Simon feels ready and exciting to put out some more great episodes moving into this season. Speaking per the Guardian in a new interview, the music mogul makes it very clear just what some of his thoughts are at the moment, and how the new energy around the show has changed almost the entire process.
“I have really had a good time this year. You want judges who want to judge the talent and actually want to find an artist – that’s what I noticed when I was working with these guys, and with Olly and Caroline.
“It is like being on a new show. It’s been fun. I have had my moments with Madame (Fernandez-Versini), but overall I’ve had a really good time this year. It’s been unpredictable.”
We know there are many American readers out there, so just another reminder here that the new season will premiere a little over a day later on August 30, over on AXS. It is worth watching if you miss Simon and company on TV; there is some good talent, and with so many changes to the show this year, there is that great-unknown factor that is intriguing.
