‘Mistresses’ season 3, episode 12 review: Does a confession change everything for Joss?
As we start to near the end of “Mistresses” season 3, things are only about to get even crazier … and we got some further evidence of that during Thursday night’s “Probable Cause.”
Let’s start off this article with what is at least something resembling good news for Joss: She may have an opportunity now to become a free woman thanks to Calista’s confession to killing Luca. Did she really do it? There is a school of thought where it does make at least a little bit of sense. After all, consider it like this: She was furious over his infidelity, and there is at least some sort of evidence that she would want to do away with him.
However, at the same exact time, we have a hard time thinking that the case is actually over already. There could be another twist coming, given that there is still one more episode. Even if there’s not, isn’t this quite a huge move to let Joss out and spend time with Harry again? The guy truly loves her, based on their recent interactions.
The April / Marc storyline is for the most part reasonably interesting to us at this point, mostly because they are almost so dysfunctional at this point that we want to see them together.
As for Karen, there’s almost no good news to be found here anymore. With Vivian’s health worsening rather quickly and the character seemingly about to go, it’s going to be very interesting to see how the show handles her present situation, and then also losing someone who she was at one point very close to.
In the end, this was another dramatic, super-eventful episode of the show. Grade: B.
