‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’: How the game will begin
Now that CBS has officially unveiled the cast photos for “Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance,” we can start to talk a little bit about some of the changes coming to the game itself. It has already been revealed for one that immunity idols will be hidden at challenges this season, and to go along with that there is another big change coming early in the game. It’s not really a strategic shift or anything, but it is fascinating.
This season, the producers are going back to more of an old-school marooning! You will have a chance to collect as many different things as you can for your time in the game, and this is something that Jeff Probst elaborated on to Entertainment Weekly by talking about what’s different:
“We did something we did 15 years ago … Here’s a big supply boat, board the boat and take as many supplies as you can get.’ … We added a twist, and the twist was, there’s another boat 100 yards out with a big bag of rice, so here’s your dilemma: How much time do you want to spend gathering supplies before you split and race for the rice.”
As far as ideas to start off the game, we like it. Given that you already know the players, there’s really less time that needs to be spent getting to know them. Instead, you can dive right into the competition. One of our favorite beginnings to a season was “Heroes vs. Villains,” where the first challenge gave Rupert nightmares when it comes to his toe and also featured Coach dragging Colby around like a rag doll.
