ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8: Who else does Nathan Fillion want to play?

There is almost no question at the moment that Nathan Fillion is a busy guy. He of course is one of the stars of “Castle” on ABC, and that takes up the majority of his time, but to go along with that, he also finds ways to fill up his summer with movie projects or other endeavors like “Con Man,” which he is working on with his former “Firefly” co-star Alan Tudyk.

To go along with all of this, Fillion also finds the time to attend a good many conventions around the world, and this weekend that included attending Wizard World in Chicago. There were many different discussion points that came out of his appearance there, but the one that seems to be getting a lot of traction is him discussing his desire to play the DC Comics character Booster Gold in a future project. Take a look at some of his comments, which were recorded by ComicBook.com:

“I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold. That’s kind of my niche: show-offy, vain… I think I could handle that. Not too bright. I think Ambush Bug – you like that? A little bit off his rocker, you’d never see my face. But I think Greatest American Hero is due for a reboot.”

Of course, we wonder if DC Comics has plans for Booster Gold that include potential movies. After all, we have to think that this is a character “Legends of Tomorrow” could’ve asked about using, right? We’d like to see Nathan play a comic-book character since he’s wanted to for some time and he definitely has that hero’s chin; we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
