‘Chasing Life’ season 2 spoilers: Are even more dark times coming for April?

Chasing Life -At this given moment, we would definitely understand if you were still broken up about the events of this past episode of “Chasing Life.” While we probably should have seen the death of Leo coming given that Scott Michael Foster has another TV show, we really didn’t. Instead, we were blindsided by the death, especially with it happening just an episode after it was starting to look like April’s life was coming together even while she was continuing to battle problems with her own health.

The next new episode is going to help to close the door (at least emotionally for us) on the Leo story; for April, this is a struggle that will continue to manifest itself in various ways. Take, for example, the upcoming August 31 episode “Wild Thing” represents what happens with the character as she starts to get off the rails, and looks for comfort in trivial, materialistic things rather than handling her grief properly. Take a look at the episode’s synopsis below:

“April continues the grieving process, but nothing she does seems to ease the pain of losing Leo. When she gets news of her inheritance, she looks to the newly acquired money and the joy of spending it to take away her pain. Beth wants new shoes? She’s got it! An expensive night on the town with friends – done! A little dabbling into the drug culture – sure, why not? But her friends are not sure what to do with this new wild and crazy April. Is April heading down a dark and dangerous path?

“Meanwhile, Brenna premieres her short film, and Sara looks for ways to help others.”

The thing you do have to remember here with April is that just like anyone else, she is human. She’s going to have some incredibly hard times while she deals with this, and she may not always do what society likes to deem “the right thing.” The one thing that she can feel pretty good about in the end is that she has such a core of loved ones around her.
