‘Chasing Life’ season 2, episode 7 reaction: Scott Michael Foster on shocking Leo twist

Chasing LifeWith a show like “Chasing Life,” the reality here is that we’re well aware that there is a capacity for pretty terrible things to happen at almost any turn. It was only a week ago that we were seeing Leo and April marry in what was a very romantic ceremony that celebrated in some ways the human condition. It didn’t matter to her whether or not she was in a hospital or a church, just so long as she got married.

Then, to lose her husband one episode later is all sorts of devastating. She had started to prepare for a happy life, and it is completely stripped away. This is probably a good thing for those out there who feel like every show needs a good dose of  drama, but a terrible thing for the characters.

In some ways, we should have seen the exit of Scott Michael Foster coming. He has a big part on the upcoming ABC show “Blood & Oil,” and that is going to limit his time. He posted a message to Twitter last night, talking about just how great of a time he had being a part of the show.

Meanwhile, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith (they love the full names with this show, right?) shared that there is at least one more episode coming for Foster. Maybe we’ll see some Leo flashbacks next week? One way or another, the actor is going to be turning up again to hopefully offer up at least a little more closure to his story.
