ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: Changes coming for Martha

It appears that for the upcoming eighth season of “Castle,” you really are going to see changes all across the board! Not only that, but Castle and Beckett could actually have a loft that starts to feel a little bit more like their own, and there is a little less chaos taking place.

We know that Alexis is going to have a much more active social and potentially romantic life this season, and while we’re assuming she’ll still be around, she is going to be out of the loft even more than usual. As for Martha, let’s just say that she has actually moved out! This news was relayed to TVLine by co-showrunner Terence Paul Winter, but she will continue to be a big part of the show:

“She’s very much a part of Castle’s life. Don’t think that just because she now has her own place and is doing well on Broadway that we’re not going to see her sharing her wisdom with her favorite and only son.”

With Winter and Alexi Hawley stepping into the top creative positions on the show this season, it really does feel like what they are doing is trying to evolve almost every facet of the show. While all of your beloved characters will be there, they are not going to be in the same position that they once were. Things will have changed, and the surrounding characters are going to need to adjust to said changes in order for relationships to function. Seeing Martha’s success should be fun, as will seeing how Beckett’s new position at the precinct impacts her relationship with Castle.
