‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’ spoilers: What’s next for Amber James, Dan Cox, Ashley Salter

It’s understandable that we’ve spent a heck of a lot of time lately discussing Joe and Samantha on “Bachelor in Paradise.” This is the show’s enormous scandal at the moment, and you better believe that they are really milking this for just about everything that they possibly can at the moment.

However, we don’t want to forget about something else important that happened Sunday, which is going to carry directly over into Monday night’s new episode: Ashley Salter and Dan Cox seemingly going their separate ways. This is one of the bigger “breakups” to come in Paradise so far, and things are going to get awkward very quickly when Amber James shows up and ends up asking Dan on a date. Just take a look at ABC’s teaser:

“…Newly single Ashley S., hopeful for reconciliation with Dan, has a moment of happiness when her best friend Amber arrives to Paradise… up until Amber asks Dan out on a date. When they head off on their date, the distressed Ashley S. breaks down in the arms of Juelia but later finds more comfort from her feathered “friends.”

“On their date, Dan and Amber walk the streets of Puerto Vallarta hand in hand, stopping to kiss along the way, and it’s clear neither of them have a concern for Ashley S.”

Now, the synopsis really tries to make it clear that Amber and Dan are doing something terrible here to Ashley, but we don’t think that this is Joe – Samantha 2.0 at all. The whole goal of the show is about trying to make connections, and if Dan didn’t think it was working with Ashley, at least he told her first. Also, Dan and Amber don’t seem to have some sort of secret / nefarious plan they are working from here.
