‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’ review: Feasting on Juelia Kinney – Joe Bailey – Samantha Steffen drama

JueliaTonight, “Bachelor in Paradise” aired an episode that definitely got a lot of play even before it aired, and for a variety of different reasons … but to be honest, most of it was about Joey Bailey and Samantha Steffen. Throughout the past few episodes we’ve seen shady behavior from Joe, and while these two are both in Paradise together, it’s starting to feel very clear that nobody else really seems to be that interested in having them there.

The show really made an enormous meal out of this Joe drama. It dominated almost the entire night, as there were comments about how Joe totally led Juelia Kinney on, knowing full well that Samantha Steffen would be coming up later. He even admitted to it at one point in a confessional, but that didn’t change the fact that he made a total jerk move in how he handled this. We know that the show is to blame for this partially because of the rules, but there could have been a much better way to handle this than how he did.

Probably the worst part of all of this is that it feels like we spent at least 30 minutes sitting around and watching Joe and Samantha kiss in the pool. Too much!

Now, let’s spend an obligatory few minutes talking about some other people. Clearly, Dan Cox and Kirk DeWindt are not as into Ashley Salter and Carly Waddell as the ladies are them, and that is going to be coming to a head here soon enough. Jade Roper and Tanner seem to be the only thing close to a stable couple that the show has right now.

Ultimately, this episode could’ve been an hour. Heck, it could’ve been 30 minutes. Joe was a jerk to Juelia, some of the guys didn’t like some of the women as much as they liked them, and that’s it. Let’s just move on to Monday’s show. Grade: C-.
