‘Suits’ season 5, episode 8 preview: More on the Harvey – Louis aftermath

We have seen the tension build between Harvey Specter and Louis Litt build over the course of the past several years on “Suits,” and in some ways, we were just waiting for an explosion. This finally happened at the end of this past episode, where the revelation that Harvey and Esther slept together, coupled with Harvey’s treatment of said Esther, sent her brother over the edge. Harvey eventually punched Louis in the face after a nasty argument, and the two are now left in a very difficult situation that impacts the firm in an enormous way.

So what happens from here? The promo below suggests that Louis could try to get Harvey arrested for assault, which is going to be a disaster if that actually happens. No one wants that embarrassment, and Jessica is probably at the top of the list. She has to find a way to mediate a discussion between two people who do not like each other, and have not especially ever since Donna made the jump over to Louis.

Speaking of Donna, is it possible that she goes back to Harvey soon? We’re not willing to say that yet, but the promo below does make it pretty clear that she is at least considering saying goodbye to being outside of Louis’ officeafter the recent course of events.

Yes, there is also an important Mike Ross story coming that will feature the return of Troian Bellisario and also some danger for the future of his career … and yet somehow, even that is being overshadowed in the aftermath of “the punch.”
