‘Ray Donovan’ season 3, episode 5 preview: Adventures with Mickey and Daryll

In some ways, there is a part of the “Ray Donovan” sneak peek below that feels like it could be right out of some sort of buddy-cop comedy, with the major difference here being that Daryll and Mickey are not cops. Instead, Mickey is learning that he may not be the best teacher when it comes to his business model.

What’s the real issue here? It is basically Daryll seemingly letting things go on a little bit too long, though we’re not going to let Mickey be completely off the hook here, either. He could’ve done more. Granted, he’s been a little bit preoccupied as of late, but still. We just find it interesting anytime you watch Mickey try to deal with things separate from Ray. Making this character interesting, as despicable as he can be sometimes, is what the show has done a pretty good job of over the past couple of years. We weren’t so sure of him in the early days of season 1.

Also, one other part of watching this clip that is somewhat funny to us is just how much it needs to be censored because of it being on YouTube. There are so many different bleeps in here that we can picture someone almost going the way of Mad Libs and substituting almost everything they want throughout most of these.
