‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Veto Ceremony results and reactions

JamesWhen you look at the Veto Ceremonies every week on “Big Brother” so far this season, there has been a common thread: The Veto has been used. The only time before now that someone was not backdoored was the second week with Da’Vonne. Meg was put up at the ceremony, but she was never meant to be anything more than a pawn.

So did James break the trend today, and keep his nominations of Clay and Shelli the same? The short answer here is yes. He went through with the original plan, which is precisely what he said he was going to do overnight. He had considered briefly some other options including nominating Austin or Vanessa, but decided that those moves would be too much of a risk given how far he’s gone down this rabbit hole.

As for whether or not this is the right move for James, at this point the answer is yes. You don’t want to get even more people angry at you; this way, at least he can say that the only people he stabbed in the back are Clay and Shelli.

Of course, you could go back and say that he could’ve made a safe move this week and targeted someone like Becky or Steve who no one would’ve missed. That may have gotten him another week or two in the game if he made a deal, but it wouldn’t have helped his case to win if he makes it to the end. This at least gives him some clout in that department.
