‘Criminal Minds’ season 11 spoilers: Could Jane Lynch finally return?

While Jane Lynch has been on a pretty wide array of TV shows over the past six or seven years, “Criminal Minds” has not been one of them. One of the major difficulties just happened to be studio and network conflicts. Lynch has been a regular on “Glee,” and when she wasn’t doing that she was hosting “Hollywood Game Night.”

Now, things may start to be a tad easier for her. Instead of explaining why her situation now yields to her potentially working with Matthew Gray Gubler again as Reid’s mother Diana, let’s have showrunner Erica Messer do it instead. Here is what she had to say on the subject to TV Guide:

“Now withGlee finished and [Lynch’s new show Angel From Hell] is on CBS … I don’t think that will be a problem … We absolutely want her back. I’ve talked to Matthew about it. We’ve got to find a reason to bring her back because I don’t want it to be unrealistic or just to have her. And we want to be able to use her well too.”

Lynch is just one of many people that have to be on the list of people who would we would love to see back on this show again. We’d have Bellamy Young on this list as well, but that’s virtually impossible so long as she is a major player on “Scandal”. As for Mandy Patinkin … well, some of his comments about his time on the show probably render it almost impossible for him to come back even if he wanted too.

The new season of “Criminal Minds” will premiere on September 30, and hopefully we’ll hear some more news about Lynch returning in the future. For now, head over here to get more of the latest news on the show!
