‘Ray Donovan’ season 3, episode 3 preview: Could Mickey, Ray work together?

Going into Sunday night’s new episode of “Ray Donovan,” there is something that both Ray and Mickey may realize that they actually need in order to properly execute the release of Mickey from prison. However, this is not something that the two of them are necessarily that familiar with exercising: Teamwork. Let’s be clear here that neither party seems to be particularly interested with wanting one another’s help, and there is a pretty tangible reason for that: They don’t play well with others.

However, by the time this episode ends, the two may at least start to realize where this is a situation where they really do need one another if there is any hope at all of getting Terry out of prison. They both have resources and skills, but this is prison! They are strategically and physically outnumbered, and there is only so much that they can do.

We are glad that the show is at least pairing off Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight already in this season, which is something we thought for a while we would not see until a little deeper into the season based on where the two started off. Given that they detest one another to the point that they would never want to willingly be around each other, this may be one of the only ways in which they can be in the same room for a little while.
