‘The View’ hires Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris set to be new panelists

“The View” has been a revolving door for some time when it comes to panelists, but it is at least starting to appear like the show has figured out who they want on board in the immediate future.

As first reported by Variety, Candace Cameron Bure of “Full House” fame and Paula Faris, the co-anchor of “GMA Weekend,” are each close to signing on to join Michelle Collins, Whoopi Goldberg, and Raven-Symone as the new panelists for when the show officially starts off its new season this fall. Faris will reportedly continue her “GMA” duties, and will take Fridays off throughout the season in order to balance both shows. Meanwhile, Bure will also continue to work on “Fuller House” in addition to doing this show in the daytime.

To us, it feels at least pretty clear that the real controversial hire at the moment is going to be Bure, given her strong conservative views will more than likely put her at odds frequently with the rest of the panel. Then again, many conservative viewers have complained that the show has never really had that voice since the exit of Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Bure has found herself in many heated debates during past appearances on the show. We feel like “The View” likes to fittingly present different viewpoints, and as a result of that have more conflict.

The new panel will officially assemble starting in September, while Rosie Perez is going to be finishing up her run on the show this summer.

Do you think that these hires are going to actually help the show, or are we probably still going to be sitting around talking about people leaving “The View” at this point next year? Let us know what you think about the subject now in the comments.
