‘Bachelor in Paradise 2’ spoilers: Jared Haibon could be hot commodity

Through one season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” there is a precedent that some men and women are just more popular than others. For the most part, being popular on your first season is a way to be popular on your second. If you are an attention-seeking reality TV contestant who wants some sort of wedding at the end of all of this, are you going to try and hook up with someone perceived to be a jerk, or someone perceived to be a fan favorite?

This is why Jared Haibon will be particularly well-received in Paradise this summer. “LoveMan” was very likable on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season, but did not make it into the final three. We saw Ashley Iaconetti in particular establish some feelings for him in the sneak peek that aired during “The Men Tell All” last night, and he seems to get close to a few other women in the preview, as well. What makes this interesting for him in particular as a cast member here is that “The Bachelorette” was still airing when this show started to film. Therefore, there is not another contestant on the show privy to his exit. All of the other contestants from Kaitlyn’s season were gone at the time he went home.

In addition to the ladies, Chris Harrison also seemed to recognize that he was a favorite, telling TV Guide the following in a new interview:

“You will see the same great guy and the women in Paradise realize what an amazing catch he is. That’s the beauty of Paradise just because he didn’t have it with one person, doesn’t mean there aren’t other options.”

We feel like the question that we are really meant to be asking ourselves, judging from the segment that aired in the “Men Tell All,” is this: Is Jared really over Kaitlyn yet? Why else would Chris ask him about this last night, given that this special taped after the season in Paradise was complete? You did not see any other men get asked something similar.
