‘UnREAL’ episode 7 preview: More tension brewing between Adam, Rachel

UnREAL -Going into Monday night’s new episode on “UnREAL” on Lifetime, there is almost no debating that “Everlasting” as a series could very well be in shambles. Just think for a minute or two about where we are at the moment. Mary just jumped to her death, and the emotional trauma she suffered from Kirk is going to be thought of as one of the main reasons as to why this happened.

Given that it was Rachel and the show’s production that brought Kirk back into the picture, of course they are going to be blamed for some of what happened. They really have to bear that responsibility … but not entirely in the way in which you would think. Shia is really the responsible one for mixing her drugs around to expose her bipolar disorder to the show. Maybe she would have been better equipped to handle her child’s father turning up for their “family date” has she been properly medicated beforehand.

Regardless of the “what ifs” of it all, what Rachel and production did was reprehensible, and it is therefore easy to side with Adam in the sneak peek below as he refuses to cooperate with production in talking about what happened. She tells him that there are things he is not privy to because of his status as a contestant, and if there is one thing someone probably does not want to hear in this situation, it is that they are some sort of production underling. This is not going to do Rachel any favors in his eyes.

To think, we were ‘shipping these two characters as a couple a week or two ago; now, it doesn’t appear like that is even remotely likely.
