‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: First look at Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw on judging panel

For those of you wondering, production on “The X Factor” did get underway this week after a temporary delay due to the passing of Simon Cowell’s mother. The auditions are all in the arena format this year, and the series posted the first image on Twitter earlier today.

Is there really any surprise at all with this panel? Not really, but we thought it would still be fun to mention at least a few things that stand out to us about this here … of course other than that the fact that Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora are making their first appearances as permanent judges after being courtesy over the past several months.

1. Is the random woman behind Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini and Cowell a secret judge? If not, her photobomb skills are definitely on point. She’s the only person in the audience with a perfectly-lit face and smile.

2. Does Grimshaw think that he is about to vacation to Hawaii or something?

3. This is your first look as well at Caroline Flack and Olly Murs as co-hosts, and clearly they are happy to be there.

4. Simon’s shirt is not exposing an unruly amount of chest hair this time around.

5. The logo colors this year are very bright and summery. We hope that this means we’re getting a more upbeat season as a whole.

This new season will premiere on ITV this fall. We expect hopefully some more great talent, and a few surprises to go along with it. Stay tuned for some further coverage as it starts to come out.
