‘The Flash’ season 2: Production begins for Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, cast

The Flash -Fans of “The Flash,” rejoice! Season 2 is right about upon us, at least when it comes to some of the cast getting together to start work in one form or another.

The curious thing today is the timing. Given that the majority of the big names on the show are coming to Comic-Con later this week, it’s an interesting road that they have flown up to Vancouver and are spending a few days there before ultimately coming down to San Diego to do a panel there and sign some autographs. We’ve got some evidence of season 2 starting today first courtesy of Candice Patton (via photo message on Twitter) and then Grant Gustin. For those wondering why just the lightning emoji, we feel like it’s a nod to some of the stories today surrounding DeAndre Jordan, who could be returning to Gustin’s beloved Los Angeles Clippers. Many players indicated their travel plans to go see him through a series of various emoji.

Ultimately, this is all funny stuff, but on a more serious note “The Flash” has a lot to accomplish in the first few episodes of season 2. The show needs to establish what its new parameters are going to be for Barry and Iris, stop the singularity (at least presumably), and figure out whether or not Killer Frost is going to be happening sooner rather than later.

The second season of the show will premiere on Tuesday, October 6. You better believe that we’re going to have so much more in the way of news before then.
