‘Masters of Sex’ season 3 spoilers: ‘The Walking Dead’ alum Emily Kinney to appear

Emily Kinney at first went from one comic-book adaptation (“The Walking Dead”) to another (“The Flash”). Now, the actress / singer is doing something entirely different.

Showtime has confirmed that Kinney is going to appear on the third season of “Masters of Sex” in the role of Nora, someone who either was or still is a neighbor to Bill and Libby Masters. She is in her early twenties, and is described as being intelligent and also ambitious. She also agrees to become a “sex surrogate” for the research that Bill and Virginia Johnson are currently working on. Given that the role is recurring, expect to see Kinney in at least two episodes presumably.

“Masters of Sex” is a great venue for Kinney to appear on, mostly because this is something in a very different style than anything she is known for, and it will also allow her an opportunity to show of her acting chops. We already thought that she had a brilliant final few episodes as Beth on “The Walking Dead” (she’s on our personal Emmy wishlist this season), but we still consider her there a longshot for a nomination.

As for when “Masters of Sex” season 3 is going to premiere, you really don’t have to wait long. The series returns on Sunday night, but if you are the extremely impatient type, you don’t even have to wait to check out the first episode. Showtime already put it on YouTube! As for the rest, you’ll probably need to have some sort of Showtime to watch.
