‘Ink Master’ season 6, episode 3 podcast: Jessa, Bart talk Miami Burgess elimination, Big Ceeze and St. Marq
When it comes to shocking eliminations, “Ink Master” really hasn’t been known for that over the years as you can usually figure out who’s going to the finale fairly early on in the season, but season 6 has shaken things up and we couldn’t be happier about it. Unfortunately, it also means that we are losing some artists that we really liked this season.
On this week’s CarterMatt podcast, Jessa and Bart are going to be focusing a lot of attention on Kito, Big Ceeze and Miami’s tattoos and if we thought Miami was really the best choice to go home this week over the other two artists. Big Ceeze and Miami both didn’t really meet the challenge – should it have been a double elimination? Can Big Ceeze do color tattoos? We get that he’s more comfortable tattooing black and grey and we have seen Shane O’Neill win the show the same way (only doing color if absolutely necessary), but could he have stayed out of the bottom completely if he had made his tattoo in color?
We will also be talking about the stained glass window tattoo challenge in general, which is something we’ve never seen on the show before or as a tattoo ever for that matter. St. Marq’s tattoo was so impressive that there will be some deeper discussion about his skill and what that means for everyone else in the competition. Has St. Marq already won this show with that stained glass tattoo in the judges eyes? We know they have loved to play favorites over the years, and watching their faces light up over St. Marq’s tattoo tell us that he’s now the one to beat.

If you put a huge cross crooked on a back, mess up the simple outline of the cross, and don’t think color is a component of a stained glass tattoo, then I would think you’d be eliminated. Especially when you were in the bottom two last challenge AND it’s only week 3. Even if Miami and Big Ceeze missed the challenge equally, Miami’s foundations are more solid.

I am disbelief of the fact that Miami was sent home, I am a huge fan and watch the show every season…. I don’t agree with the judges at all with them sending Miami home his tattoo was a hell of alot better Than Big Ceeze cross tattoo even though the challenge was suppose to be stained glass. Neither one did meet the challenge… at least Miami tattoo had color and his lines was a lot straighter and Miami did not even have the worst tattoo of the day even the human judging panel even said that Big Ceez had the worst tattoo of the day… at this point I believe that the show is staged and I won’t be watching the show any longer and will tell all of my friends not to watch it as well

I agree, I was shocked that Miami was sent home. I get that it wasn’t as stained glass as everyone else but he gave his client the tattoo he wanted and isn’t that really what being an Ink Master should be about? Happy clients getting what they want? I also felt there was a better showcase of contrast in Miami’s tattoo. It sucked to see him go.
