‘Suits’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Days of Our Lives’ actress to be Harvey’s new secretary

As you most likely saw in the season 5 premiere of “Suits” last week, Harvey Specter is not entirely in the best position in his life. Sure, he’s got the success, the money, and the opportunity to have a wide variety of dating options other than the one he subconsciously wants and probably will not admit to himself.

For those wondering, Donna is not coming back to her old desk at any point in the near future. We know from synopses that this story will persist for at least a couple more episodes, and the fact that the USA show has just cast a brand-new secretary for Gabriel Macht’s character is just about all the proof you need that Harvey is going to start looking potentially at some other options. Zap2It confirms that “Days of Our Lives” actress Aloma Wright will appear on the series in Gretchen Bodinski, a woman who has more than two decades’ worth of history in the field, and is extremely smart and capable of helping Harvey out.

Will Gretchen challenge Harvey? We hope so, mostly because this is a guy who continues to feel very capable, and he has a hard time ever admitting that he needs a little bit of help. This is a chance to actually get the upper hand in some legal battles, and actually focus more on what he does best.

As for the relationship between Louis and Donna, let’s hope that this continues to involve in its own fascinating way. We’re not sure that we envision them becoming romantic, but she understands him perhaps even better than he knows himself.
