‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 star Jesse Williams, wife Aryn Drake-Lee expecting second child

Mrs. Carter: This is going to be a very busy time for Jesse Williams!

The actor, like many of his “Grey’s Anatomy” co-stars, has been on hiatus over the course of the past couple of months, resting up before the grind of the season arrives. However, he will be back at work soon this summer, and we have also learned that he and wife Aryn Drake-Lee are now expecting their second child! This news was first confirmed by Us Weekly. They already have a daughter together in Sadie, and Williams will have his work cut out for him trying to balance out work the next several months with preparing and then being a parent once again. The same goes for Drake-Lee, who is a real estate broker. That is not exactly easy work, even if it does not necessarily draw the same sort of headlines. There was no due date announced for the child, but it is fair to assume that the couple are at least a few months along.

Williams and Drake-Lee married in 2012 after being together for five years. They originally met back before Williams was a TV star, and he was working as a schoolteacher.

It’s nice to see that Williams is getting a chance to celebrate some great news when it comes to fatherhood on the show, mostly because of how he was dealing with plenty of hardship as Jackson on the ABC series this past season with him and April. We also saw that he was struggling when she developed a very different way of dealing with grief than he did, and their relationship hit a potential impasse.
