‘UnREAL’ episode 5 spoilers: On Faith’s big episode, surprises before finale

UnREAL -One of the great joys of watching Lifetime’s “UnREAL” is one of the unique ways the show’s conceit (their take on a reality dating show and its twisted production) allows it to break the typical TV mold. For example, you tend to know that unless someone is killed off, the people you see at the start of the season are the same people you are going to see at the end.

However, that is not even remotely the case here. Since we have “Suitor” Adam Cromwell choosing who he wants to continue dating on his way to true love on the fictional series “Everlasting,” contestants are going to be sent home. Sure, we will have people like Rachel, Quinn, and Chet who will most likely be a part of the entire season thanks to their work behind the scenes, but any of the contestants could be gone at any time. That is why you have to watch out for people like Maya, Anna, and Faith. They are all interesting, but there are no guarantees when it comes to their longevity.

With that in mind, it’s certainly possible that we get to know Faith much better on Monday night’s new episode. Adam pays a visit to the likable underdog’s hometown, and in setting this up along with the season as a whole, Constance Zimmer (who plays Quinn) told TVLine the following:

“We get to know Faith really well in Episode 5. It’s such a great episode. I can’t wait for people to see it. I’m so excited, because we start opening everything up after Episode 5. I keep saying to interviewers, ‘I can’t wait. I want to talk to you again when you get to Episode 10, because I really want to know if we’ve held up our side of the bargain, which is [that] every single episode gets darker and meatier and grittier.'”

We really do not doubt what she is saying here, mostly because this show has grown increasingly crazy and interesting as time has progressed. We’re bummed that so few people are watching, but at the same time, we’re happy that we’re getting to revel in this experience.
