‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Nominations, the backdoor plan, and a fun ‘Amazing Race’ wrinkle

There is a whole lot of coverage within the first hour of the “Big Brother 17” live feeds, and for this instance rather than trying to provide too much in the way of in-depth analysis (we don’t really know where anyone’s head is at when it comes to the game), we’re just going to bring you as many different facts as possible within the span of a single episode.

1. Let’s start with nominations: James is still Head of Household, and Jackie is on the block alongside Steve. It feels like the plan for now is to try to backdoor Jace, which makes sense given that most of what we’ve seen from him so far is him making an idiot of himself in front of some of the other players. The Veto still is to be played, but Jason (pictured) is no longer Head of Household.

2. It feels like Clay, Audrey, and Meg are all really close, and Audrey already seems very confident about her game. That could be either a really good thing or a really bad thing depending on how she channels this confidence.

3. We’re worried already about some of the smack that Jason is talking about … well, everything. We thought he would be polarizing, and that is proving true.

4. Vanessa had an enormous meltdown tonight, complaining about Steve seemingly being “excluded” by some of the other players. She is questioning whether or not she has the heart to be a part of this game, and she misses her girlfriend. Could the poker player, picked by many to be really great this season, actually quit? Hats off to Steve and John for being good people and comforting her. If this is an act, it’s a really good act.

5. It looks like Vanessa and Da’Vonne may have been able to offer up immunity to someone else in the game thanks to them sitting out of the competition.

6. Becky was apparently hit by a train. This story was amazing, and we hope that the end of Victoria’s crow carried her to safety.

Just a random aside, but apparently the new “Amazing Race” season actually started filming a few days ago. Therefore, Phil probably flew in here from some other location, filmed this segment, and is flying back out. Dude’s a busy guy.
