‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’: Brandi Glanville officially decides to depart
After several years with “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Brandi Glanville has seemingly decided once and for all that she is done with the franchise. While there were a few rumors here and there that she could be coming back in some capacity after initial reports suggested she was dismissed, the reality star took to her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast today and delivered the following message:
“After a lot of careful thought and deliberation I have decided not to return to RHOBH as a full time cast member this season … The past 4 years have been amazing, a complete roller coaster of a ride. I will always be thankful to Bravo for the opportunities that have come along with doing this pop culture phenomenon of a show. In the meantime, I’m working hard on my podcast, my new wine business and my clothing line. And keep an eye out for my next adventure that will show everyone a more well-rounded side of who I really am.”
Of course, there are some out there who will easily read most of this as PR spin, and Brandi wanting to ensure that she leaves on her own terms rather than looking like she was sent away. To them we would say that we understand that viewpoint … but can you really blame Brandi for saying what she has here? Obviously she wants to move forward as gracefully as possible.
Note that she does say in here the words “as a full time cast member” in here, and that is really important since she is leaving the door open herself to come back. We do feel like we haven’t seen the last of her on the show; it benefits her in that it gives her more of a platform, and at the same time Brandi is almost an instant injection of potential drama and if nothing else, big TV moments. Sometimes a break can be a good thing.
